We often believe that, because one of our friends is gay, they’ll feel attracted to all same-sex people, including ourselves. We don’t change our clothes in front of them anymore, we won’t hug them like we used to, we stop saying “I love you” because we fear they’ll misunderstand us. But the only thing that’s true is that they still see us as they always did: as friends.
